Basics:
The class will be divided into 4 political parties: Democrat, Republican, Libertarian and Green. Classmates will then spend time with their new groups, and get to know one another.
Starting Off:
Each student will come up with something that they stand for(Ex. Longer Recess). Then each kid will compare with other kids inside their party, to see which ones have the same issue.
Moving on:
As we move on through the election, some kids may get eliminated from the election. But these kids get to become the delegates. These kids will get to represent a certain amount of states with a certain amount of points, and get to give these points to the candidate(s) they support.
The convention:
To the kids who are still in the race, they will get to participate in their party conventions. This is where the remaining candidates get to debate about their issues, and try to become their parties representative.
The election:
By now, only four candidates should be remaining. This is where the candidates will get to give a speech on their issue and what they will do to make it happen if elected. Then, the election will happen, with the delegates dealing out their states. In the end, whoever gets the most points wins the election!
